Bramble Crumble

I absolutely love crumble and am always making different versions. This one is vegan and gluten free and was a success in our house, and so I hope you will give it a go and enjoy an extremely healthy crumble, which can be eaten at any time of day, even breakfast served with nice-cream (blended frozen banana). After picking lots of blackberries with my girls, these crumbles were the result. The Omega 3 and calcium from the seeds and nuts are beneficial for your immunity, skin and this dessert contains so much fibre and can help reduce cholesterol.

Instructions
  1. Wash and prepare the fruit (I do not peel the apples as the skin adds extra goodness and fibre to the dish) and lay in the bottom of your chosen dish/es – set aside whilst you make the crumble topping
  2. Rub the hardened coconut oil into the ground almonds with your fingertips until there are no lumps of coconut oil, then add all of the rest of the topping ingredients – spread over the fruit
  3. Bake your crumble in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown
Recipe Notes

Perfect served with coconut yoghurt, cream or nice-cream, enjoy x
