Hummus – Spicy or Smoky

Smoky Hummus

  • 200g chickpeas (drained and rinsed from a tin or soaked from dried)
  • 1 tbsp tahini (sesame seed paste)
  • 2 cloves of garlic peeled and roughly chopped
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 inch of dried chipotle chilli
  • 3 tbsp water
  • pinch of organic sea salt
  • optional: black pepper

Spicy Hummus

400g chickpeas (drained and rinsed from a tin or soaked from dried)

  • 1 tbsp tahini (sesame seed paste)
  • 2 cloves of garlic peeled and roughly chopped
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp coriander
  • 3 tbsp water
  • pinch of organic sea salt
  • optional: black pepper

Enjoy experimenting with spices to produce your favourite tasting hummus.
